Since I travel frequently, I'm often driving from my home in the Bluegrass through the Appalachian range, and there are particular spots that I stop at along the way. One of those spots is an incredibly well tended garden that always is overflowing with insects of all sorts. Bumblebees buzz from flower to flower, and you're likely to pick up a hitchhiker in the form of one of these Appalachian Tiger Swallowtails. I've seen them in all sorts of color morphs, from only yellow and black to my favorite: little bits of orange and blue added at the bottoms of their wings. These butterflies are incredibly lightweight and easy to wear.
